Explosive device found at journalist's home in Neo Psychiko

An explosive device found outside a journalist's home in the suburb of Neo Psychiko on Thursday afternoon consisted of five dynamite sticks and a timer, updated police information said.
A police officer guarding the property had found a plastic bag with dynamite sticks and an explosion mechanism in the yard of the one-story house and informed relevant authorities immediately.
The area was cordoned off by police, while a bomb disposal unit and officers of the counterterrorism service, which has assumed the case, went to the site. The bomb disposal unit was able to remove the device without detonating the explosives, and taken to the police laboratory for examination.
It is assumed that the perpetrators threw the device over the wall, possibly during the night, but for unknown reasons it did not go off.
