Government post highlights drop in unemployment to 8.3% in April

The government, in a social media post, referred to the drop in unemployment to 8.3% in April: "Unemployment is steadily declining, and with it, inequalities in the labour market: female unemployment fell to 10.8% from 13.6% last April, while youth unemployment dropped to 20.4% from 24.2%. We continue with more and better jobs for all."

As noted in the post, last year’s overall unemployment rate was 10.8%, and this is the lowest rate recorded in 17 years.
