The seasonally adjusted unemployment rate in April 2025 amounted to 8.3%, compared to 10.8% in April 2024 and the downwards revised 8.9% in March 2025, the Hellenic Statistical Authority said in a report on Friday.
The number of employed persons amounted to 4,313,817 persons, increased by 24,554 persons as compared with April 2024 (0.6%) and increased by 28,144 persons compared with March 2025 (0.7%).
The number of unemployed persons amounted to 391,263, decreased by 128,525 persons as compared with April 2024 (-24.7%) and decreased by 26,943 persons compared with March 2025 (-6.4%).
The number of persons outside the labour force, i.e., persons under the age of 75 who are neither working nor looking for a job, amounted to 3,050,528, increased by 77,322 persons as compared with April 2024 (2.6%) and decreased by 3,569 persons compared with March 2025 (-0.1%).
