Main opposition PASOK-Movement for Change on Tuesday accused government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis of "Goebbels"-style propaganda and "attacking PASOK with lies and mud," in response to the government spokesperson's statements regarding the report on the Tempi train crash.
The party pointed out that its motion of censure was based on the findings of the report on the tragedy of Tempi issued by the Hellenic Aviation and Railway Safety Investigation Agency (HARSIA), which the Maximos Mansion had previously billed as the "gospel of national self-awareness" and which was now discredited due to the about-faces and retractions of its New Democracy-appointed former chief.
It also noted that "the text of the motion is public and anyone can read it and see that PASOK at no time made any reference to conspiracy theories," while pointing out that this text was co-signed and had formed the basis of the parliamentary battle over the censure motion.
