Evangelismos and Megaro Mousikis metro stations closed after fall onto the tracks

The Evangelismos and Megaro Mousikis metro stations on Line 3 of the Athens metro were temporarily closed on Sunday after a man fell onto the tracks at Evangelismos. Trains on Line 3 will be running on the sections from Dimotiko Theatro to Syntagma and between Ambelokipi-Doukissis Plakentias, according to Urban Rail Transport (STASY).
Fire fighters called to the scene successfully retrieved the injured man from the rails, and he was then picked up by an ambulance. Nine fire-fighters and three fire engines responded to the call.
