Greek and Cypriot energy regulatory authorities met in Athens on Thursday to discuss the Cyprus-Crete electric grid linking project.

According to a statement, the Plenaries of Greece's Waste, Energy, and Water Regulatory Authority/Energy Sector and of Cyprus' Energy Regulatory Authority analysed the project's progress and the resolution of related outstanding issues. They also discussed the renewal of the memorandum of implementation of their multi-year cooperation. They also affirmed the importance of their collaboration in managing issues that relate to guaranteeing regional cooperation and promoting interborder projects in the Mediterranean region.
