The opening of the Travel Trade Athens, the top event for the promotion and establishment of Athens as city break and conference tourism destination throughout the year, will be inaugurated on Monday by Athens Mayor George Kaminis.

It is the 6th year the Travel Trade Athens is held and it will run to Tuesday. The event, to be hosted at a central Athens hotel, is expected to attract over 100 representatives (hosted buyers) of international tourist operators and agencies who will share the table with with suppliers of the Greek market through planned appointments.

Over 12,000 business meetings between Greek and foreign enterpreneurs were recorded in the five previous events.
