Passenger traffic in Greek airports up 4.7 pct in Jan-Feb

Passenger traffic in Greek airports grew 4.7 pct in the January-February period this year compared with the corresponding period in 2019, Civil Aviation Authority said in a report released on Tuesday. 
The Authority said that total passenger traffic was 4,376,468 in the two-month period from 4,178,269 in 2019, an increase of 198,199. 
The number of flights at Greek airports totaled 42,728 (of which 23,794 domestic and 18,934 internationa) in the January-February period, up 1.4 pct from the same period in 2019.
 In the two-month period the airports of Skiathos, Kalymnos and Kastoria recorded the biggest percentage increase (158.4 pct, 145 pct and 63.4 pct, respectively).
 In February, passenger traffic totaled 2,125,705, up 4.1 pct from the same month in 2019. International arrivals was 592,879, up 9.4 pct form 2019, while the number of flights rose 2.5 pct to 20,426.
