Pierrakakis: Concession of Tae Kwon Do stadium to Attica region 'begins new creative cycle'

The concession by Hellenic Public Properties Company (HPPC) of the Tae Kwon Do stadium to the Attica Region begins "a new creative chapter" both for the indoor stadium in Faliro and for the exploitation of state-owned assets in general, Economy and Finance Minister Kyriakos Pierrakakis said in a social media post on Wednesday.
Specifically, Pierrakakis noted that:

"With HPPC's concession of the Tae Kwon Do [venue] to the Region of Attica, a new, creative chapter begins - both for the Faliro Indoor Olympic Arena and for the overall utilisation of public property.
"The Tae Kwon Do facility, one of the most characteristic examples of an Olympic venue that remained for years without a coherent development plan, is now being transformed into a modern, multifunctional conference centre, in the heart of the Metropolitan Park of Faliro Bay.
"The concession agreement signed yesterday is a tangible acknowledgment of local government as a strategic partner in the management of public assets. I am confident that Nikos Hardalias and his team will make the most of this space, with a focus on social and developmental impact.
Public property belongs to all citizens and must serve as a dynamic asset that generates added value for society. Our mission is to turn this property into a tool for sustainable development and employment.
We will leave no opportunity unexploited. With courage, planning, and transparency, we will prove that the public sector can operate efficiently - for the benefit of all."
