Migration & Asylum Ministry: Victims of 'Daniel' storm will continue to be housed at Koutsochero facility

None of the people who were left homeless after the 'Daniel' floods will have to leave the temporary housing facilities at Koutsochero in the Larissa region designated for migrants applying for asylum, by order of Migration & Asylum Minister Thanos Plevris, ministry sources announced on Tuesday.

The ministry asserted that "Greek citizens who were affected by the natural disaster and found temporary refuge at the facility will continue to live there for as long as needed, regardless of the greater planning that relates to implementing the recent amendment on detaining illegal migrants."
