National Opera to perform at Kalamata Int'l Festival; tour in Peloponnese

The Greek National Opera (GNO) will participate in the Kalamata International Dance Festival with two performances by the Opera's Ballet and Dance Academy, respectively.

The Kalamata Festival will take place in Messenia from July 18 to 27, and the Opera's performances include "Future Cargo" (GNO Ballet) and "Epilogue" (GNO Professional Dance School). 

The Opera's tour in Greece is supported by a gift of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation to boost the Greek National Opera's extroversion. 
"Future Cargo", by Frauke Requardt & David Rosenberg, a joint production of GNO with London's The Place, will be performed in other cities of the Peloponnese as well.

- July 19, Kalamata, Central Square, 20:30
- July 20, Sparta, Central Square, 21:00
- July 21, Astros Kynourias, Karytsiotis Square, 21:00
- July 22, Nafplio Port, Thessi P, 21:00
- July 23, Xylokastro/Evrostini, concert area in Xylino Parko, 21:00
- July 24, Tripoli, Areos Park, 21:00
- July 25, Kalamata Port, Wharf, 22:30
- July 26, Pylos, Pier at Pylos Port, 21:00  
- July 27, Ancient Olympia, parking below the Olympic Games Museum, 21:00.

GNO's Professional Dance School will perform "Epilogue", a contemporary dance diptych (Skipping on Stardust, Dive) by Ermira Gor and Edouard Hue on July 22 at the Port of Kalamata Wharf.
