Androulakis: PASOK has pledged to abolish the 'personal difference' in pensions

Main opposition PASOK-Movement for Change leader Nikos Androulakis met on Tuesday with the Hellenic Federation of Civil Pensioners at the party's office in parliament and pledged to meet their demands for the increase of pensions.
"We have made a commitment to abolish the personal difference and make beneficial interventions as regards widow's/widower and disability pensions. We have also made a commitment for a new EKAS (Solidarity Allowance for Pensioners) that will benefit 350,000 low-income pensioners and, of course, the gradual reduction of the solidarity contribution which has turned into a mechanism that does not allow increases in pensions," he added.
Androulakis said that PASOK will do "what our programme says and we will not imitate the stance and contempt shown by the Prime Minister towards you, mocking you both in 2019 and 2023".
