Marinakis: We will do everything we can to safeguard the interests of the country and the Greek citizens

"At the moment, the absolute priority is the interest of the country and the citizens. Obviously, we are not the government of Moria and Idomeni and the centers of shame. However, we are the government that faced the crisis in Evros and the hybrid threats of smugglers in the Aegean," government spokesman Pavlos Marinakis emphasized, in an interview with Liberal.
"We are interested in efficiency. We will do everything we can to safeguard the interests of the country and the Greek citizens. I repeat. We are not going to make any concessions on this," he added.
In response to a question about the rule of law, Marinakis replied: "The annual report on the rule of law is the most resounding and eloquent response."
"Greece is one of the countries with the greatest progress, for another year. In matters of justice, in matters of legislation and especially in matters related to the mass media, which are part of my portfolio, it was the best report of the last years. The European Commission recognized remarkable progress in the area of media, freedom of the press and the protection of journalists, mentioning by name the latest bill, which I had the honor of introducing in Parliament and which was unfortunately only voted on by the New Democracy Parliamentary Group."
