Kontogeorgis: The real challenge is development that delivers noticeable change in the citizens' lives

Greece is experiencing rapid changes, with the political system responding decisively to old problems and pathologies that still exist, Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister Thanassis Kontogeorgis said in an interview with Libre website.
"Although there are dysfunctions, the country addresses them directly, demonstrating a new, more transparent and dynamic approach," he said, adding that today's Greece has managed to exit the memorandum, regain its investment credibility and proceed with significant reforms in the fields of digitalization, health and education.
"Despite the problems, progress is visible through the return of young scientists, the international successes of startups and infrastructure renovations," Kontogeorgis emphasized and added that reality shows a country on a trajectory of significant transformation, which requires attention and responsibility from everyone to maintain the positive momentum.

"The biggest challenge is to maintain the current progress, complete the reforms and ensure development is more visible in citizens' daily lives. Greece today has possibilities that it did not have six years ago. These are achievements of the Greek people that we must all preserve," the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister noted.
