PM Mitsotakis posts video on student housing allowance

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis uploaded a video to ΤικΤοκ in which he refers to the student housing allowance. Addressing students in the first person, he said:
"Did you know that if you are a student, you can, under certain conditions, get up to 2,500 euros a year? The platform to apply for the student housing allowance has opened! And this year, it is significantly increased."
Mitsotakis also said that the allowance in 2019 was 1,000 euros, while on 2025 it is 1,500 euros for Athens and Thessaloniki and 2,000 euros for the regions.
"If you decide to cohabit, it's 2,000 euros for Athens and Thessaloniki and 2,500 euros for the rest of Greece. If two of you live together, you will get 5,000 euros to rent a house. If three of you stay together in the regions, you will get 7,500 euros," Mitsotakis says, and urges students to apply by the end of July on the following platform: stegastiko.minedu.gov.gr.
