Larissa-Thessaloniki train engine replaced after technical issue

Train 1596 on the Larissa-Thessaloniki line was immobilized at 14:32 near Platy, west of Thessaloniki on Wednesday due to a technical issue.

According to Hellenic Train, an auxiliary engine was dispatched at 15:53 and the train continued on its schedule.
"The train staff, directly applying all foreseen procedures, has taken care for the 48 passengers' safety and expended every possible effort to limit their discomfort," the company said.
