US Coast Guard has renewed Greece's participation in the QUALSHIP 21 initiative for 2025-2026, acknowledging Greece as a Quality Flag State.
As stated in the US Coast Guard's letter to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, the decision is based on the excellent performance of Greek-flagged vessels under US Coastguard Port State Control over the past three years. 

Ships under the Greek flag that meet the relevant criteria of the American Coast Guard and will be classified as Q21, will receive privileges (e.g. reduction in the number of Port State inspections for F/C ships) when approaching US ports.
