Gov't prioritizing the speeding up of reforms and improvement in daily life

The message that the government will move at a fast pace to implement reforms in the economy was conveyed by government officials, who also said these include measures announced last week: three new European subsidy funds worth 8 billion euros, the new labor bill, and the regulation for construction in settlements of under 2,000 residents.
Other interventions will follow in other fields, they said, in order to further boost development of the Greek economy, resolve issues related to specific segments of Greek society, and improve citizens' daily lives.
Some of the regulations are addressed to 35,000 borrowers of home loans in Swiss francs, who are facing a steep rise in their bank loans after the rise of the Swiss franc compared to the euro. In addition, the issue of which non-state, non-profit foreign universities will be allowed to open branches in Greece will also be clarified shortly.
More reforms are expected on a wide range of subjects at the Thessaloniki International Fair, when the prime minister delivers his annual policy speech.
