Senate Committee hearing to approve Guilfoyle as new Greek ambassador set for July 9

Kimberly Guilfoyle is to appear before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee on July 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. for a hearing to approve her appointment as the next U.S. Ambassador to Greece.
After the hearing, Guilfoyle's appointment must be ratified by a plenary session of the House of Representatives.
Guilfoyle, who was proposed for the post by U.S. President Donald Trump, is expected to depart for Athens immediately after being sworn in by President Trump in the Oval Office.
