A wildfire has broken out in Drymonas village, Kythera. According to the fire brigade, the fire started at 17:15 in a forest area with low vegetation. A message via 112 was sent to those on Melidoni beach to move away and head to Drymonas. 

To extinguish the fire, 19 firefighters were mobilized, along with a team from the hiking section of the forestry department, 6 vehicles, 2 aircraft, 3 helicopters, and volunteers.
