On Saturday, public transport in Athens will operate 24 hours a day.

The Athens Urban Transport Organisation (OASA) is implementing a trial 24-hour operation of the Metro (Lines 2 and 3), the Tram (Lines T6 and T7), and selected bus routes, covering key areas of the Attica region.

"This initiative enhances the overall experience of moving around the city, offering a safe and reliable option for the public 24 hours a day. It is an important step towards upgrading urban transport services and promoting the extroversion of Athens," noted a statement by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
