"The Mitsotakis government cannot guarantee those things that Greek people are entitled to," opposition SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance emphasised in a statement on Tuesday.

"Greece's inflation stood at 3.6% in June, continuing its upward trend, in contrast to the Eurozone average, which stood at 2%," the party noted, commenting that "the success story of the lowest inflation in Europe, in which the government's communication strategy had invested, is continuously collapsing."

"Rents are skyrocketing, food prices are rising, purchasing power is at a constant low," SYRIZA added and wondered: "Is this another 'feat' of the executive state or another failure of Kyriakos Mitsotakis?"

"In any case, the Mitsotakis government cannot guarantee either social justice or social prosperity, to which the Greek people are entitled. It is time for progressive change," concluded the SYRIZA statement.
