Kerameus: Eight pillars of the new bill for fair work for all

The new bill, entitled “ Fair Work for All”, was presented by Labour and Social Security Minister Niki Kerameus at a press conference on Monday.
"The bill provides for simplification of procedures and reduction of bureaucracy, empowerment of workers, strengthening of the Labour Inspectorate, strengthening of occupational health and safety, modernization of labour provisions, and harmonization with the International Labour Conventions. We stand by workers, businesses and pensioners. We are establishing fair work for all in practice," Kerameus said.
The eight pillars of the bill are:

  • Easy and fast recruitment
  • Reduction of bureaucracy
  • Modernisation of labour provisions
  • Empowering workers
  • Strengthening Occupational Health and Safety
  • Harmonisation with ILO International Labour Conventions
  • Functional strengthening of the Labour Inspectorate
  • Social security provisions.
