Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis responded on Monday in Parliament to a relevant question from independent MP Marios Salmas, stressing that the Turkish-Libyan Memorandum is invalid and unsubstantiated, with no basis in international law. 

Gerapetritis referred to his upcoming trip to Libya and noted that he is seeking a delimitation solution, but one based on the Law of the Sea Convention.

He emphasised that he had extended an invitation to Libya for a dialogue regarding the delimitation of maritime zones, reiterating that Greece is committed to fostering good neighbourly relations with the country.
