The handover ceremony of the deputy ministers at the Ministry of Digital Governance was completed on Monday, after the resignation of Christos Boukoros over the OPEKEPE case. The minister thanked the outgoing deputy minister for his work and welcomed the new deputy minister Christos Dermentzoglou to the ministry.

Taking on his new duties, Dermentzoglou also thanked the outgoing deputy minister, adding that they share with Minister Dimitris Papastergiou the goal of strengthening the state's digital services to the citizen.

"As a ministry, I believe that we will continue to support the state with modern digital tools, and to achieve this, the contribution of the employees is crucial. With respect to their work and experience, I look forward to close and substantial cooperation ... We have a lot of work ahead of us, but we also have many possibilities and I think that with actions and not words we will make the digital state more functional," the newly appointed Deputy Minister of Digital Governance stated.
