Famellos: What is needed now is the government’s resignation and immediate elections

SYRIZA leader Socratis Famellos, in a statement following the resignations of Minister of Migration and Asylum Makis Voridis and the three deputy ministers allegedly involved in the OPEKEPE scandal, called for the resignation of the government and immediate elections.
“ The resignations of ministers, the contents of the OPEKEPE case file, the shocking conversations that have come to light, and the two existing indictments against ministers in Mr. Mitsotakis’ government over the Tempi crime, all reveal that this is a government of scandals and complicity,” Famellos said. He added: “ What is needed now is not a reshuffle but the government’s resignation, immediate elections and a progressive administration that will put the country back on its feet.”
