Mitsotakis in Brussels to participate in European Council meeting

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has been in Brussels since Wednesday in order to participate in the Summit of the leaders of the European People's Party and the meeting of the European Council.
The European leaders will discuss the latest developments in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as European defence and security issues.
Migration and the EU's competitiveness in an uncertain global environment, the situation in Moldova and the Western Balkans, as well as issues of the EU's internal security and crisis preparedness are also on the agenda.
Regarding migration, the conclusions of the Summit are expected to include a reference to Libya's instrumentalisation of the issue, as well as a new reference to the Turkish-Libyan memorandum, where the European Council will emphasise that it violates the sovereign rights of third states, is not consistent with the Law of the Sea and cannot have any legal consequences for third states.
