SKY express: Five new European destinations and new aircraft

SKY express is continuing its dynamic growth by adding five new destinations in Europe - Madrid, Lisbon, Hamburg, Berlin and Lyon - while by the end of the summer its fleet will increase with the delivery of two new Airbus 320neo aircraft (one is being delivered this week), the airline's Chief Commercial Officer Gerasimos Skaltsas said on Tuesday evening, during the presentation of the group's strategy at the Olympic Museum in Athens.

"We are leading the way in a particularly demanding and competitive sector. Our motto is faster, higher and stronger," Skaltsas said.

"In 2024, more than 5 million passengers trusted us, it was a very big goal that we had set and we managed to achieve it. At the same time, we expanded our international network with seven new destinations - Istanbul, Tirana, Tbilisi, Yerevan, Prague, Vienna and Amsterdam. It was another very difficult bet that we won. Then we strengthened our fleet with six brand new aircraft. So we see that we have made strategic choices, for which we were vindicated. I want to state with certainty that we have achieved the operational, commercial and financial goals for last year," he emphasised.

For this year, the company has secured more available seats. Specifically, it has planned 10% more domestic seats compared to last year and 40% more for abroad compared to the corresponding number of seats last year. The most seats in the domestic network have been added to routes to Crete, while as far as the international network is concerned, the largest number of seats have been added to routes to Frankfurt, Warsaw and Düsseldorf.
