Issuance of Personal Number now available via Citizens’ Service Centers and Consulates

Citizens can issue a Personal Number through Citizens' Service Centres and Consular Authorities as an extension of the myInfo - Citizens' Data Confirmation application, which went live on Monday through the single digital portal.
As through the myInfo application, every citizen can be served with physical presence by an official of the Citizens' Service Centre and paid consular authorities to check and confirm their personal details as maintained in the basic registers of the State. In this way, the accuracy and consistency of the data recorded are ensured, while at the same time the possibility of issuing and granting a Personal Number is provided.

This service is exclusively offered by specially authorised officials at any Citizens' Service Centre or paid consular authority. Already, since its first day of operation, the new service has served almost 770 citizens.

To date, more than 420,500 citizens have been issued a Personal Number, while through the data confirmation process in the myInfo application, 128,900 cases of discrepancies in data held in at least two public registers have been identified, for which the process of automated correction has already started. In addition, 31,250 new identity cards have been issued with the Personal Number.
