Androulakis calls on gov't to brief party leaders on developments in foreign policy

PASOK-Movement for Change (KINAL) leader Nikos Androulakis called on the government to urgently brief party leaders on recent developments concerning St Catherine's Monastery at Mt Sinai and statements by Libyan officials related to maritime zones, while on a tour of Kilkis on Saturday.

Androulakis attended celebrations on the anniversary of the northern Greek city's liberation and noted that "we are living in a difficult and unstable geopolitical environment," and that is why Greece "needs a serious, stable, reliable, and effective foreign policy."

Recent developments on the above two issues "are unpleasant", Androulakis said. "That is why I call on the government to brief political party leaders directly and on the Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee to meet so that deputies may be informed."
