The Minister of Citizen Protection Michalis Chrisochoidis was named by the Federation of Greek Basketball Players' Associations with Wheelchair as the Goodwill Ambassador of the sport.

Addressing the President of the Federation Christos Kaloudis said: “ we are by your side, supporters, and we will continue this effort”. 
Kaloudis said that with this honorary distinction, the Federation wanted to thank Chrisochoidis for his valuable contribution to wheelchair basketball and his practical interest in both strengthening their work and the sustainability of the Federation, although the portfolios he has served are not related to sports for the disabled. In addition to the plaque, he also presented Chrisochoidis with a National Basketball Team T-shirt with his name on it.

The Federation supports over 400 athletes with disabilities and is closely connected with approximately 500 families involved in its activities.
