According to diplomatic sources, a communication took place on Friday evening between the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Egyptian ambassador in Athens.

The same sources stated that a message was conveyed urging the Egyptian authorities to respect - within the framework of national and international law - the rights of the Greek citizens located near the Ismailia checkpoint.

It was also emphasized that among the Greek participants are three members of the Hellenic Parliament and one member of the European Parliament.
