Minister of National Defence Nikos Dendias, addressing on Wednesday at the “ Greece 2025-2030” conference, spoke about European defence and the role of the Greek defence industry.

He stressed that Greece must protect its sovereignty and sovereign rights. "To do this, one thing is absolutely necessary: everything must change. "The structure and perception of the Greek Armed Forces must change," he said.

Referring to the “ Agenda 2030”, he stressed that a new structure has been created in Greece's national defence.
He underlined that the Greek defence industry participates in armaments with a 25% share. “ The first major success was the implementation of the discussion on the purchase of a fourth Belharra frigate, which will be added to the other three,” he noted.
