A 66-year-old Israeli woman who had been sought by authorities in eastern Crete for five days was found dead at a coastal area in Gournia, Lassithi.

According to police, the body of the woman was identified by a relative. An autopsy will be conducted for the cause of death.

The woman was staying at Kavoussi, in the Ierapetra area, and was declared missing by a friend on Friday, June 6.
