Mitsotakis: Greece not only has a great past but also a brilliant present and a promising future

"When someone thinks of Greece, they usually think of the Acropolis, the Parthenon. They don't think of contemporary, modern art. Many people who visit this application will realize that Greece has contemporary and modern art," Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Tuesday in a discussion with the director of the Google Cultural Foundation Amit Sood at the National Museum of Contemporary Art during the presentation of a relevant application through which one can see contemporary art exhibits.
The prime minister noted that we need to convince people that Greece not only has a great past but also a bright present and future. "This tool that we have at our disposal today is impressive in terms of accessibility. We can see all these works of art through this application. I like this aspect of cultivating education. And of course these exhibitions, these works of art tell their stories," he pointed out.
However, he underlined that we must protect the rights of artists in a world where digital images are spreading without control. "Artificial intelligence is already creating art ... We are offering a huge range of educational tools and accessibility. In Greece, we see technology as an opportunity to promote the country and its productivity and to cover the lost ground of the crisis. It is an opportunity especially in education and health where artificial intelligence can be transformative," the prime minister emphasized.
Mitsotakis also said that Greece demonstrates dynamism that arises from a country with energy that one can feel and that provides the opportunity for new forms of artistic expression.
