Tsoukalas: PM Is celebrating the overtaxation of the middle class and low-income groups

Main opposition PASOK-Movement for Change spokesperson Kostas Tsoukalas, commenting on Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis' post on Facebook, said that “ by referring to the Commission’s biannual report, he is celebrating the high primary surpluses which he himself denounced when he was in opposition.”
Tsoukalas added that Mitsotakis “ is celebrating the overtaxation of the middle class and low-income groups, who finance these surpluses through indirect and direct taxation.”
He also noted that the prime minister said nothing “ about the new rise in inflation in Greece, while it is easing across the rest of Europe - nor about the sharp increase in housing and transport costs.”
Commenting on Mitsotakis’ references to basketball games and the Sinai Monastery, Tsoukalas said he “ proved to be completely out of touch with reality.”
