The regional governor of Attica Nikos Hardalias, speaking at the 4th Forum of the Association for the Protection and Development of Hymettus Mount, held at the Vorres Museum in Paiania, referred to the need for coordination of all agencies in dealing with extreme weather phenomena. 

"In the Region of Attica, we are once again ready to assist, wherever and whenever necessary, in implementing the national operational framework developed by the competent Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection for the prevention and management of extreme weather events," Hardalias emphasized. He added that critical areas have already been cleared, volunteer groups have been reinforced with equipment and resources, and both ground and aerial surveillance, as well as early warning systems, are in operation. He also stressed that protecting the citizens and natural resources of Attica remains a non-negotiable priority for the Region.
