Panathinaikos and Olympiacos issue joint statement, commit to peaceful and fair completion of bb championship

The Panathinaikos and Olympiacos Basketball Clubs issued a joint statement on Wednesday committing to carry out the Greek Basket League championship peacefully and in a spirit of fair play.
The two teams' owners issued the statement after their separate meetings with Deputy Sports Minister Yiannis Vroutsis, who had summoned them to the ministry to resolve their conflict or face the cancellation of this year's championship.
Specifically, the statement reads as follows:
"As Panathinaikos Basketball Club, we declare our unconditional commitment to an absolutely peaceful completion of the finals of the Basketball League championship finals 2024-2025, in agreement with the principles of fair play.
We have full confidence in Greek justice for all issues that have arisen.
As Olympiacos Basketball Club, we declare our unconditional commitment to an absolutely peaceful completion of the finals of the Basketball League championship finals 2024-2025, in agreement with the principles of fair play.
We have full confidence in Greek justice for all issues that have arisen."
