Androulakis: Conditions ripe for reinstating 13th and 14th salaries

PASOK - Movement for Change leader Nikos Androulakis, during a meeting with Greece's civil servants confederation ADEDY on Wednesday, described as "hypocritical" the Prime Minister's initiative to open a discussion on constitutional revision. He argued that the
Constitution does not prevent the government from making important changes, stating that "the Constitution has not stopped him from evaluating civil servants or from implementing the laws he himself has passed," he noted.

Androulakis stressed that PASOK has, for months, been initiating a debate on the necessary reforms in public administration. He also pledged to soon present a comprehensive proposal outlining how the state can provide high-quality services to citizens.

He emphasised the importance of implementing an evaluation system that would serve as a motivation for civil servants to deliver improved services to the public. He also highlighted that conditions are now favourable for reinstating the 13th and 14th month salaries.
