Greece's Coffee Island opens second store in India

Greek beverage company Coffee Island opened a second store in India located at Hyderabad, southern India, following the first one in Gurgaon (Gurugram) near Delhi.
The new store is on the premises of a multinational technology company and serves hundreds of professionals on a daily basis, while it has a specialized menu for the area including signature beverages, select blends, and single-origin specialty coffees from India and the world.
In a statement, Coffee Island said, "The opening of a second store in India within a few months is not simply a commercial expansion, but tangible evidence of the brand's vision to establish itself as a global leader and pioneer in the world of specialty coffee."
The Hyderabad store involves a strategic collaboration with Master Franchisee Pratyush Kumar Sureka, through the Vita Nova company. The commitment of both sides and their mutual trust allow plans to build an extensive network of 20 stores by the end of 2025, with the main mission being to bring elements of the Greek specialty coffee culture to India, the company added.
Coffee Island was founded in Patras in 1999, went through a rebranding process in 2013, and has opened stores in Canada, Cyprus, Egypt, Switzerland, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
