A total of 824 unemployed persons with disabilities have so far been hired by municipalities through the new employment action of the Greek Public Employment Service (DYPA). The programme provides for 1,000 full-time or part-time positions in municipalities to be filled by unemployed persons with disabilities and aims to integrate and reintegrate them into the labour market, ensuring equal employment opportunities.

As noted in a relevant announcement, the programme is of up to 18 months' duration and subsidises 75% of salary and contributions, with a maximum of 750 euros per month and a maximum grant of 13,500 euros per disabled person. Applications submitted exclusively online.
