The Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH) in Heraklion, Crete, was visited by the Ambassador of Germany Andrea Kindl, accompanied by the Honorary Consul of Germany in Heraklion George Kaloutsakis.

During the visit they met with the President of the Foundation for Research and Technology Vassilis Harmandaris, who informed them about the activities of the Foundation and its long-standing cooperation with educational and academic institutions in Germany.
This was succeeded by a tour of the research laboratories at the Foundation. Kindl reported on the high level of research carried out at the Foundation.

Both sides expressed the desire to have research collaborations between private and public institutions in Germany and the Foundation for Research and Technology, with the support of the German Embassy in Greece.
