The Minister of National Economy and Finance Kyriakos Pierrakakis, calls for written explanations to the board of directors of the Olympia and Bequests Committee, who granted permission to a sports goods company for a drone show at Zappeion. According to information from the Ministry of National Economy, the price paid was disproportionate to the value and significance of the Zappeion site, due to an outdated institutional framework and pricing policies that have remained unchanged for nearly 20 years.

The same sources said that the political leadership of the Ministry of Finance will change the way public property, which includes public institutions and legacies, is valued. 

Specifically, in the coming weeks the new law on foundations, charitable estates, school legacies and donations to the state will be ready.
