The primary surplus of the State Budget on a cash basis approached 4 billion euros in the January-April period, the Bank of Greece (BoG) announced on Friday.
In January-April 2025, the central government cash balance recorded a surplus of 1,874 million euros, compared to a deficit of 570 million euros in the same period of 2024.
During this period, ordinary budget revenue amounted to 22,232 million euros, compared to 20,612 million euros in the corresponding period of last year.
Ordinary budget expenditure amounted to 19,796 million euros, from 19,521 million euros in January-April 2024.
