US DFC and US Embassy delegation visit Thriasio Logistics Centre and Goldair Cargo facilities

Officials of the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC) and a delegation of the US Embassy in Greece visited the facilities of Thriasio Logistics Centre and Goldair Cargo in Aspropyrgos.

The visit occurred as part of efforts to cooperate on financing the construction of the Thriasio Cargo Centre, alongside plans to fund the port of Volos, which “ signifies the active involvement of the US in strategically important projects for South-Eastern Europe.”
The high-level DFC executives and the US Embassy delegation, it is reported, accompanied by Thriasio Logistics Centre CEO and Goldair's Director of Strategic Investments Vassilis Maglaras, visited the sites that are to be transformed into the largest “ green” logistics gateway in Southeastern Europe. They were also then taken on a tour of Goldair's high-end warehousing facilities, where they witnessed the entire advanced warehousing and distribution process.

Thriasio Logistics Centre is developed by THEK, a joint venture between ETVA VI.PE (60%) and Goldair Cargo (40%). ETVA VI.PE. (1962) is Greece’s largest industrial landowner, developer and manager; the company currently has 27 industrial areas under management. Goldair Cargo (1987) operates in the freight forwarding and logistics sector; its departments of road, air and sea freights cover every type of delivery.
