The Taxi Drivers' Union of Attica (SATA) has announced a three-hour work stoppage at Athens International Airport on Thursday, from 12.00 to 15.00, in protest against the installation of "an illegal Uber stand next to the legal taxi stand". 
"We demand equality and humane working conditions. Our positions are clear and non-negotiable. We do not give away transport work that belongs to the taxi and we do not negotiate our professional status," SATA said in a statement and declared: 
"The board, faithful to its values, will exhaust every possibility of dialogue with Deputy Minister of Transport Konstantinos Kyranakis. If this is not achieved, the sector will be forced to escalate the mobilisation".
