Enivironment and Energy Min Papastavrou in Texas for talks with US oil and gas companies

Environment and Energy Minister Stavros Papastavrou and Deputy Minister Nikos Tsafos travelled in Texas for meetings with major US companies active in hydrocarbon exploration and production, discussing their plans related to Greece.
On Thursday evening they will meet with Chevron International Exploration and Production President Clay Neff, and Chevron's Vice President of Global Exploration Liz Schwarze.
On Friday, they will meet with ExxonMobil's Vice President of Global Exploration John Ardill. Following this, they will visit Cheniere Energy, a company active in the production and export of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
According to official sources, this marks the first time a Greek government delegation is holding high-level talks with executives of these companies in Texas regarding the development of Greece’s hydrocarbon sector.
