Dep. FM Hatzivasileiou heads business delegation in Istanbul

Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy and Openness Tasos Hatzivasileiou on Thursday began a two-day visit to Istanbul on May 8-9, accompanied by Greek entrepreneurs and representatives of chambers of commerce and industry.
According to a foreign ministry announcement, Hatzivasileiou will meet on Thursday with representatives of Greek businesses operating in Turkiye.
On Friday, the Greek minister will meet with his Turkish counterpart, Mehmet Kemal Bozay.
Afterwards, Hatzivasileiou and Bozay will address the Greek-Turkish Business Forum. The forum is part of a broader effort for the strengthening of bilateral economic and trade relations between Greece and Turkiye. 
It is organised by the foreign ministry, in cooperation with Enterprise Greece, the Hellenic Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV), the Association of Exporters of Northern Greece and the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce. 
 In the framework of the Forum, Greek and Turkish business people, active in the sectors of shipping, transport, construction, information systems, tourism, pharmaceuticals and food, will have B2B contacts and discuss potential collaboration and investment opportunities.
