Tsoukalas: "Social necessity to be a pole against ND"

"It is a social necessity to have a pole against New Democracy that can face it in terms of victory", PASOK-Movement for Change spokesperson  Kostas Tsoukalas said in an interview on Monday with Parapolitika 90.1 radio station, referring to PASOK's aim to be the first party in the next elections.
The party's spokesman stressed that "this does not mean that it is easy, great leaps are needed", and argued that "the only party that has distinct political positions and stigma, radically different but at the same time applicable, is PASOK".
"If a party like PASOK-Movement for Change makes a huge leap from a 12% it had in the European elections, even if it is not first, I don't think it will be a failure for PASOK, but it will be a negative development for society. It will be disastrous for the Greek society to continue to have a government that is in fact wasting the potential that the country has," he added.
