Androulakis: Government claim of calm relations wtih Türkiye is 'a fairy tale for the few'

PASOK-Movement for Change (KINAL) leader Nikos Androulakis toured Trikala in Central Greece on Sunday morning and in statements criticized the provocative stance of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan while visiting the occupied territories of Cyprus a day before.

"Yesterday's statements by Erdogan in the occupied territories are provocative and unacceptable," Androulakis said. "They prove that Türkiye does not respect the United Nations Organization's resolutions for a just solution to the Cyprus issue. Therefore, the narrative of the government of New Democracy about 'calm waters' is fairy tale - but a fairy tale for the few," he added.

The PASOK-KINAL leader also called on the prime minister to inform the Greek people about the exact timeline of implementation of the Cyprus-Crete power grid linking, while he also said the government should assume initiatives to avert the possibility that Türkiye may play a role in the new defense architecture of Europe.
